Anton Lomaev is a contemporary Russian illustrator.
He was born on March 13, 1971 in Vitebsk, Belarus.
From 1982 to 1989 attends the Leningrad Lyceum (High school) B.V. Ioganson at to the National Academy of Fine Arts I.E.Repin.
From 1989 to 1991 he served in the military.
From 1991 to 1992 he worked as an artist-designer of city events in Vitebsk, Belarus.
In 1992 he starts studying at the St. Petersburg State Academic Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture I. E. Repin. He has studied a course "book graphics" with the guidance of A. A. Pakhomov (1994-1998).
From the mid-90s he starts to cooperate with publishing houses as a book graphics designer.
He is a member of the National Union of the Fine Artists since 2000.
Books illustrated by Anton Lomaev have been publishing in different countries of the world: Russia, France, Germany, USA, China and others.
Anton Lomaev has been awarded with multiple Russian and international prizes in the field of book art and illustration, including the BIB Golden Apple prize at the international competition for illustrations of books for children and youth in Bratislava (2019), Honorary diploma of the International Council for Children's Books IBBY (International Board on Books for Young People, 2018), Prix l'esprit de l'engagement (Prize for the spirit of engagement, Best creator of children's, ESFS (European Science Fiction Society), 2015), Prize of the All-Russian Science Fiction Congress "Wanderer" ( 2001). .
Anton Lomaev is a laureate of the All-Russian competition of book illustration "The Image of the Book" (2013, 2014, 2018, 2019) and the International Competition of the CIS Member States "The Art of the Book" (2020).
